Detroit man sentenced to 13 years for conspiracy to distribute drugs in KY
ASHLAND, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Department of Justice has sentenced a man to 13 years in prison for conspiracy to distribute 40 grams or more of fetanyl and conspiracy to distribute 100 grams or more of heroin.
Law enforcement says that in April 2017, 209 grams of fetanyl was seized from 33-year-old Leonard Wright. They say Wright brought the fetanyl from Detroit to the tri-state area of Ashland, KY, Huntington, WV, and Ironton, OH.
In August 2017, the same law enforcement agencies seized 876 grams of heroin from Wright, that had also been brought down from Detroit.
Wright pleaded guilty in September 2018, admitting that he orchestrated the delivery of the fetanyl and heroin.
