Details emerge in WKU swim and diving team suspension
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Additional details emerged Wednesday about Western Kentucky University’s decision to shut down its swimming and diving program for five years.
According to WDRB in Louisville, it’s because a former member of the team claims he was assaulted several times and forced to drink alcohol. Police say they found supporting evidence after searching a Bowling Green home.
The incident will mean job losses at the college. WKU says three coaches’ positions will be eliminated in June.
