Deputies: Woman Left Daughter On Side Of Road
Deputies in Laurel county arrested a woman after they say she left her 10-year-old daughter on the side of the road.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Department said Jeanette O’Leary, 30, got into an argument with her daughter while driving on West Laurel road Monday at around 6:30 p.m. and told the child to get out of the car.
Deputies said motorists had to swerve to avoid hitting the child.
They said O’Leary admitted to leaving the child but only for two minutes.
Witnesses said it was more than five minutes.
O’Leary, who is from Oklahoma, is charged with abandonment and wanton endangerment.
