Deputies Overcome By Fumes

Two sheriff’s deputies were taken to the hospital Wednesday night after being overcome by chemical fumes while out on a call.
The Boyle County Sheriff’s Office said they began getting calls from neighbors on Chenault Bridge Road in Danville at around 10 p.m. about a strong chemical odor in the area.
Deputies thought it might be a methamphetamine lab but the odor was determined to be paint thinner.
The sheriff said because of the heat and humidity, the odor spread and became trapped in the air.
The two deputies were taken to the hospital to be treated for respiratory problems as a precaution.
The sheriff said there were no evacuations in the area.
