Deputies: Man arrested after running from police

LAUREL COUNTY , Ky. (WTVQ) – A Keavy was arrested for running from the police, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

They say two people were seen looking into vehicles with flashlights off Parker Road Saturday morning just before 1 a.m.

According to officials when they arrived on scene Perry Valentour was lying in the bed of a pickup.

Investigators say Valentour stood up and ran on foot.

Deputies caught up with Valentour in a wooded area, then there was a short scuffle and he was taken into custody, according to officials.

Detectives say Valentour was charged with fleeing or evading police, criminal trespassing, resisting arrest; public intoxication, having a controlled substances. 

He was lodged in the Laurel County detention center.
