Deputies: man arrested for trespassing
According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office James Couch was arrested on Friday morning for trespassing.
Deputies say they responded to Conley Road and found Couch near a car in a woman’s yard. Officials say Couch told deputies that he was a county official from Leslie County and that he had been in the car with the seat laid-back, resting. Deputies say they determined that he had not been in the vehicle and was under the influence.
Officials say people in the neighborhood did not know him .
James Couch was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, criminal trespassing and alcohol intoxication in public place.
