Deputies ask for public’s help solving recent thefts in Floyd County

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department is investigating thefts that occurred over the last week and released an image of one of the suspect’s.

Deputies say sometime between Dec. 11-14, someone stole gas lines from Diversified Oil and Gas on John Hall Branch of Grethel.

Investigators say more than 300 feet of two-inch gas lines and 300 feet of twenty foot joint sections of gas line were stolen.

Deputies say on Dec. 13 around 2:00 a.m., at least two people broke-in to Star Construction just off US 23 in the Banner area and stole two way radios from company vehicles and other property.

Investigators say one suspect was caught on security camera.
