UPDATE: 22-year-old man found on Delong Road was fatally shot: Coroner

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — A 22-year-old man found along a Fayette County road early Monday morning was a homicide victim, according to Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn.
The man is identified as Jamar Patterson Jr., Ginn said. He was found in the 100 block of Delong Road. The time of death was &:30 a.m., from a gunshot wound, according to Ginn.
Police have not reduced additional details.
Police responded at about 7 a.m. to Armstrong Mill Road and Delong Road for a victim suffering from a gunshot wound on the side of the street. Upon arrival, officers found Patterson who was pronounced dead by the Lexington Fire Department, police said in a statement.
Detectives continue to investigate.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are investigating a body found along Delong Road in southern Fayette County
The body was found just south of the intersection with Armstrong Mill Road near Colliver Lane.
The male was discovered about 7 a.m. and police blocked off Delong while investigators processed the scene. As of 10 a.m., the road remained closed.
Police did not provide details of what might have happened but said more details would be released later Monday.
The scene was just over a slight hill on Delong Road, which is a narrow road that winds through rural farmland connecting Athens-Boonesboro Road with Tates Creek Road.
