UPDATE: Graves County shooting victim identified

Update from August 25, 2021:

HICKORY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The victim of a Tuesday night shooting in Graves County has been identified.

Kentucky State Police say 28-year old Darian Williams, of Hickory, died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators say he was shot and killed on Makenzie Circle.

Original story below from August 24, 2021:

HICKORY, Ky. (WTVQ) – At least one person is dead following a shooting in Graves County, according to Kentucky State Police.

Investigators say KSP Post 1 received reports of gunshots near apartment complexes on McKenzie Circle in the Hickory community around 6:35 p.m.

KSP says it appears to be an isolated incident.  There is no evidence to indicate a further threat in the surrounding area, according to State Police.

The victim’s name wasn’t immediately released.
