Somerset, Waynesburg women killed in crash

LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. — Two women were killed when their cars collided head on Wednesday night in Lincoln County.
According to Lincoln County Coroner Farris Marcum, 40-year-old Tanessa Cole, of Waynesburg, and 23-year-old Callie Young, of Somerset died in the accident which happened before 7 p.m.
Marcum says Cole was northbound in an SUV headed to Stanford and Young was southbound in a passenger car heading to Somerset when their vehicles collided on US-27 near Kentucky 1781.
The coroner says blunt force trauma is the cause of death for both women.
The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.

STANFORD, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly crash Wednesday night.
Deputies say it happened on US 27 near Kentucky 1781.
They say two cars were involved. Both drivers were killed.
