“Cruisin’ For A Cure” Held At Rupp Parking Lot

Some Fayette County School employees hoped to make a big impact in the fight against cancer.

The Transportation Division at FCPS planned "Cruisin’ for a Cure". The car show benefited Relay For Life. Award winners for Best of Show, Rattiest Rat Rod and Best Muscle filled the lower parking lot at Rupp Arena Saturday.

Event organizers said there are 50-60 people in FCPS touched by cancer.

"What we’re doing is actually raising money to help in honor of them and other survivors or people who are actually suffering now," said Tiffany Lowery, an event organizer.

The relay team’s name is FCPS, All Together For A Cure.
