Crowdfunding for scholarships to help kids paint mural

Over the course of two summers, 2010 and 2011, Jennifer Zingg and about 100 kids painted a mural along the RJ Coreman Railroad Bridge in Frankfort. She now has a new space for another mural.

With help from another Frankfort artist, Travis Kelley, she hopes to paint 19 panels along the Kentucky River near the Ward Oaks Amphitheater during another set of summer camps.

The cost for the summer camp is about $100 per child per week.

She’s started a crowdfunding site to raise money for scholarships to the camp.

The goal is to raise $7,500 so children can attend the 2015 Artstravaganza River Mural Arts Camps without it being a financial burden.
