Crews work around the clock to clear Lexington’s streets

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Snow removal crews in Lexington are working around the clock in alternating 12-hour shifts to clear roads after recent snowfall, according to city officials.

Crews are treating streets with a combination of rock salt, salt brine, and Beet Heet to combat icy conditions. Officials report that while main roads are now manageable, many neighborhood streets remain snow-covered.

The city is urging drivers to exercise caution, especially on less-traveled streets, as cleanup efforts continue.
