Crews treating roadways in anticipation of snow

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Road crews with the city of Lexington are out spraying salt brine on bridges and overpasses in anticipation of the light snow showers forecasted for Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

The city says crews will remain on duty overnight and through Wednesday to monitor critical areas, respond to slick calls and treat roadways as necessary.

The city also says the Office of Homelessness Prevention & Intervention Weather Plan remains in effect until Monday, December 10. The plan includes expanded shelter services and free transportation to shelters.
