UPDATE: Crews suspend search for missing man at Red River Gorge, will begin at 8 a.m. Thursday

UPDATE: SLADE, Ky. (WTVQ)- Wolfe County Search and Rescue has suspended the search for the man missing at Red River Gorge tonight. They will begin again tomorrow at 8 a.m.

Crews say Leslie Reynolds has been off his medication for 48 hours. Reynolds usually goes camping with his cousin, but this time went by himself.

SLADE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Crews are searching for a man who went missing while camping at the Red River Gorge.

Wolfe County Search and Rescue says the man’s mother says she received a message from him Tuesday around 9:30 p.m.

She says he told her he was lost and trying to find his vehicle.

The missing man’s name is Leslie – no last name was released – and he’s 29-year-old, according to Wolfe County Search and Rescue.

Crews from Wolfe, Powell and Menifee County began their search Tuesday night and found his campsite at the top of Frogs Head.

On Wednesday, crews continued searching the area along Bison Way, Indian Stair Steps and Frogs Head.

Any one in the area who sees Leslie is asked to call 911.

Visitors to the Red River Gorge are being asked to park away from the Bison Way trail head to allow rescue teams access to the trail head.
