Crews Report Power Slowly Returning to Homes

Following Tuesday night’s freezing rains, utility workers have been working all of Wednesday to return power throughout the region.

At last report, Blue Grass Energy had 641 outages across 12 counties, including Anderson, Bourbon, Bracken, Franklin, Harrison, Henry, Madison, Mercer, Nicholas, Robertson, Scott, and Woodford.

Inter-County Energy said 346 Garrard County homes are still without power in the areas of Sugar Creek Road, Gooch Pike Road, Tuggle Road, Buckeye Road, Nina Ridge, Boones Creek Road, and Burdette Knob Road.

Officials said crews will continue to work until service is restored to all residents.

Blue Grass predicts most of their customers will regain power by 9 Wednesday night.

Inter-County does not expect to have all of their areas repaired by then, but said progress is being made in most of the affected locations.
