Crews demolish Kennedy’s Book Store
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- It’s the end of an era for current students and alumni at the University of Kentucky.
Crews demolished the ‘Wildcat Den’ at Kennedy’s Book Store Monday.
The bookstore near campus opened in 1950 and closed in late 2017, in part because of the strong competition from internet book sales.
The University now owns the property and it will eventually become home to other stores and parking spaces.
