UPDATE: Crews extinguish vehicle fire in Lexington
UPDATE: (5/28/21, 7:30 a.m.) – According to the Lexington Fire Department, the passenger vehicle that was on fire early this morning is no longer burning.
The fire department says that crews have left the scene.
A fire investigator is investigating the origin and cause of the fire.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Crews battled a vehicle fire Friday morning on Hollow Creek Road near Russell Cave Road in Lexington.
According to the Lexington Fire Department, crews were dispatched to the 500 block of Hollow Creek Road at 4:45 a.m. for a report of a vehicle on fire. When they arrived, crews found a vehicle engulfed in flames near a building.
Fire crews immediately began extinguishing the fire.
According to the Lexington Fire Department, no injuries were reported. Hollow Creek runs off Russell Cave between West New Circle and I-64 in the northeast part of the city.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
