Crash in Rowan County Kills Man

ROWAN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – One person is dead following a crash in Rowan County.

Kentucky State Police say 58-year-old Jimmy Stacy was traveling north on Route 377 near Cranston just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, when he crossed the center line and struck another car.

That car was driven by 59-year-old Michael Ison of Morehead.

His wife, 54-year-old Barbara Ison, was also in the car.

All three were taken to St. Claire hospital where Michael Ison was pronounced dead.

Barbara Ison suffered non life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Stacy was taken from St. Claire to the University of Kentucky hospital.

Police say he also had non life-threatening injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
