CRASH NUMBERS: Lexington police respond to 1 injury, 15 non-injury weather-related crashes

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — From midnight to 8 a.m. Friday, Lexington police responded to 16 crashes and assisted six people due to the snowy weather.

One of those crashes involved an injury and 15 others were non-injury. The crashes were all caused by snowy, icy roads.

Lexington police are warning that drivers should use extra caution: slow down, increase following distance and allow for more commute time.

A winter winter weather advisory is in effect until 7 p.m.
