Crash in Caldwell County Kills Four

CALDWELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- Kentucky State Police have now released the names of four people who died Saturday in a car crash in Caldwell County.

The four who died are 66-year-old Thomas Hughes from Princeton, 73-year-old Raymond Vilvens from Ohio, 69-year-old Carolyn vilvens from Ohio, and 65-year-old Linda Franz from Ohio. Mary Vilvens, 69, from Ohio was airlifted to the hospital in Indiana, where she is in critical condition.

Troopers say the crash happened on I-69. Their preliminary investigation reveals Thomas Hughes was going north, lost control of his car for some reason, and crossed the median where it hit the car Raymond Vilvens was driving. Vilvens and his two passengers died, as well as Hughes.
