COVID positive students at Berea College could face withdrawal

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – In a policy update posted Monday, Berea College said administrative withdrawal could be necessary for students who test positive for COVID-19.

The new policy says students who test positive must quarantine for 10 days which would keep them from the classroom. This would make completing coursework difficult, and administrative withdrawal could become necessary.

The policy also says a student in this situation would be left to make arrangements to return home.

Employees must use sick or vacation time to quarantine, according to the same policy.
