Counterfeit money being passed in Martin County

INEZ, Ky. (WTVQ) – Bogus bills are being circulated in Martin County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies say counterfeit $20 bills have been passed in the county, particularly at gas stations.

Investigators say many of the fake bills have foreign writing on the back with dashed lines through the number ’20’ on the front in the upper right corner.

Be on the lookout for the fake money.  If you come across any funny money, call the Martin County Sheriff’s Office at 606-298-2828.
