Corbin Man Charged with Carjacking

A Corbin man is behind bars after State Police said he approached a woman with a knife and then stole her vehicle.

According to KSP, the incident happened Saturday night at Emma’s Place Apartments.

They said Roger Ramey, 26, was armed with a knife when he walked up to a woman and fought with her in order to steal her cell phone and vehicle.

Troopers said Corbin police later found the vehicle in the Beatty Avenue area, but Ramey had run off.

Ramey was located and then charged on Wednesday with robbery and theft by unlawful taking.

He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
