Convicted felon arrested in stolen truck case
LIBERTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Casey County man was arrested after running from authorities during a stolen truck investigation, according to KSP.
Investigators say they went to a home on Neff Road, about ten miles north of Liberty, after receiving information there was a stolen truck at that location.
State Police say when they arrived, 20-year old Joseph Cooper, of Liberty, took off running.
He was caught by Trooper Zach Scott and charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000, fleeing or evading police 1st degree (on foot), menacing, resisting arrest, criminal mischief 1st, criminal mischief 3rd and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to State Police.
Cooper was lodged in the Casey County Detention Center.
