Community honors Law Enforcement Officers
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A retired Lexington Police captain and members of Centenary United Methodist Church in Lexington held the First Annual ‘Lexington Law Enforcement Appreciation Night’ on Thursday. Greg Howard says given the tumultuous times for law enforcement officers across the country right now, the community wanted to remind the men and women who wear the badge that their work in the community does not go unnoticed.
Members of law enforcement from local, state and federal agencies were honored for their dedicated service to the community. Lexington Police Chief Mark Barnard and Lexington Mayor Jim Gray spoke at the event that was held at Centenary United Methodist Church.
