Cold weather is settling in

With Wednesday’s highs in the mid 30s, wind chills in the mid 20s and wind gusts reaching 25 mph, winter jackets were a must. You’ll want to keep that winter jacket handy, as cold temperatures will be sticking around for at least the next week.

Thursday will be quiet with temperatures near 40, but Friday we could be waking up to light snow, making for a messy morning commute.  The quiet weather returns briefly Saturday,

but it will be cold with highs in the upper 20s.

All eyes are on Sunday and Monday, as a winter storm heads our way.  Models are inconsistent with the timing and locations of precipitation types, but rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow are all possible.  More details to come as the system approaches and what kind of winter weather you can expect in your area.

In the wake of the winter storm, highs plummet to the 20s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
