Coffee with a Cop with Richmond Police

RICHMOND, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – In Richmond, community members were able to meet members of the police department at Coffee with a Cop.

The event began at 9 a.m. at Golden Leaves in the Richmond mall.

People were able to pick which cop they had coffee with and get to sit and talk with them.

Chief of Police Rodney Richardson says events like this are important to do with the community.

“It just gives the community the opportunity to meet officers in a non enforcement way,” said Richardson. “Just so we get to know each other and build a relationship, so it’s really positive for us.”

This is the second Coffee with a Cop the police have held, with the first last Saturday.

The event wrapped up at 11 a.m.
