Closures scheduled for New Circle Road in Fayette Co.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists that this advisory serves as an update for work toward the New Circle Road/KY 4 widening project in Lexington.
KYTC says the construction includes Georgetown Road/US 25 to Boardwalk Avenue. In addition, the interchange is being reconstructed at Newtown Pike/KY 922. The anticipated completion date for the project is December 31, 2020.
Alternating lane closures will be from 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, to Thursday, April 18, at 6 a.m.
These closures will be from Georgetown Road to the Lexmark Bridge. The closures are necessary for a crew to complete a finish masonry coat on the newly constructed Newtown Pike bridge.
All work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
