Closures scheduled for New Circle Road at Newtown Pike

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is providing an update to drivers regarding the widening project on New Circle Road in Fayette County.

Starting Friday, May 10th through Monday, May 13th between 7 PM Friday until 6 AM Monday motorist should expect closures on New Circle Road/KY 4 at Newtown Pike/KY 922 between MP 9.318 and 9.332.

The following lanes are affected by the closures:

  • The right lane on the Outer Loop and the loop ramp from the Outer Loop of New Circle Road/KY 4 to Inbound Newtown Pike/KY 922
  • The right lane of the Inner Loop and the ramp from the Inner Loop of New Circle Road/KY 4 to inbound Newtown Pike/KY 922

The closures are necessary for widening operations to continue on New Circle Road/KY 4 and for the tie-ins at the ramp.

Drivers are encouraged to utilize the Georgetown Road Exit (Exit 8)

As always, all work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions.
