Clark County Public Schools holds career fair

Winchester, Ky. (WTVQ) — Clark County Public Schools hosted a job fair on Sunday.

Officials with CCPS say they are hiring all positions, such as teachers, bus drivers, custodians, instructional assistants and more.

All departments were present to speak with potential candidates and show the options and opportunities that are available.

“This is important for all of the community,” said Tammy Parrish, Director of Human Resources for CCPS. “Everyone in the state of Kentucky right now is talking about the state of public education and what we can do to rally around public educators, not just teachers but all staff. So I think it’s important for everyone in Clark county, central Kentucky and all of Kentucky to see what public schools offer and see what we’re doing for our staff and our students.”

Parrish continued, saying “So, I hope future employees see Clark county is invested in our students and our staff and our community. And we say we’re family we’re not just saying it, we’re living it and working on making sure everyone comes to work feeling balanced and appreciated.”

Several principals spoke about how the career fair shows that Clark County Public Schools goal is for students and staff to be successful and that they really are one community, one vision.
