Clark County Fire: Driver lucky to be alive after I-64 wreck

CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A driver is lucky to be alive after being ejected from his vehicle in a rollover accident on Interstate 64 in Clark County, according to the Clark County Fire Department.

The accident happened around 8:40 p.m. on Thursday near mile marker 91 in the eastbound lane, according to investigators.  The driver, whose name wasn’t released, refused to be taken to the hospital and appeared to be uninjured, according to authorities at the scene.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.  Officials did note that the road was wet from rain at the time of the accident, but did not yet know if that was a factor in the crash.
