Clark Co. boil water advisory; extended
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky American Water announced the boil water advisory issued for Clark County customers has been extended for an additional 24 hours – until 9 a.m. on June 20.
American Water says this announcement only affects the Ford Hampton area customers, as the extension is due to a break in the Winchester Municipal Utilities water main.
Kentucky American Water says the customers on these streets should definitely continue to boil their water:
Athens Boonesboro Road, south of Amster Grove
Nick Lane Quisenberry
Lane Coffee Springs Lane
During a boil water advisory, officials say customers should boil their water for three minutes before consuming it, using it to make ice, or cooking with it.
