Clark Co. boil water advisory; extended
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky American Water announced the boil water advisory issued for Clark County customers has been extended for an additional 24 hours – until 9 a.m. on June 20.
American Water says this announcement only affects the Ford Hampton area customers, as the extension is due to a break in the Winchester Municipal Utilities water main.
Kentucky American Water says the customers on these streets should definitely continue to boil their water:
Amster Grove
Athens Boonesboro Road, south of Amster Grove
Ford Hampton
Nick Lane Quisenberry
Lane Coffee Springs Lane
Settlers Lane
Lisletown Lane
Lisletown Trace
Lisletown Court
Pence Lane
Bridgeview Lane
Asher Lane
Schoolhouse Lane
Ralston Lane
Ford Street
During a boil water advisory, officials say customers should boil their water for three minutes before consuming it, using it to make ice, or cooking with it.
The initial boil water advisory was announced on June 17, around 9:30 p.m.
