City spends $75,000 on NCAA celebrations, mayhem

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Mayor’s office released figures totaling the expense to the city during the post-NCAA partying in Lexington.  The grand total is just over $75,000 dollars.

Those expenses are divided as follows:

  • Police: $48,525
  • Code Enforcement: $1,068
  • Waste Management: $2081
  • Fire: $10,880
  • E-911: $1416
  • Streets & Roads: $6,777
  • Corrections: $4,838                 

When Kentucky went to the finals last year, the Herald-Leader reported costs at $150,000 dollars.
