City spends $75,000 on NCAA celebrations, mayhem
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Mayor’s office released figures totaling the expense to the city during the post-NCAA partying in Lexington. The grand total is just over $75,000 dollars.
Those expenses are divided as follows:
- Police: $48,525
- Code Enforcement: $1,068
- Waste Management: $2081
- Fire: $10,880
- E-911: $1416
- Streets & Roads: $6,777
- Corrections: $4,838
When Kentucky went to the finals last year, the Herald-Leader reported costs at $150,000 dollars.
