City releases statement on CentrePointe project
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A statement has been released from Mayor Jim Gray’s office regarding the CentrePointe Project and the expiration of a deadline for work to commence in earnest, or at least be apparent, at the site.
The statement reads as follows:
“The city’s legal agreement with the Webb Companies remains in place. That contract allows us to demand that the company fill in the hole. But it does not require us to do so. The company has been granted a building permit extension up through April 14, 2016, to allow work to continue on the garage.”
