City of Georgetown activates its Snow Plan

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – The City of Georgetown activated its Snow Plan ahead of Friday’s winter storm.

The plan includes:

A coordinated effort of Public Works, Police, Fire and City Hall.

Private snow removal contractors on call if necessary.

Main roads will receive priority.

To assist with snow removal effort, we ask that citizens please park their cars off street Friday morning through Saturday evening.

Citizens needing assistance with non-emergency medical needs (doctor’s appointments, prescription pick-up, hospice care, etc.) can call dispatch at 502-863-7820.

We have police and fire standing by with Humvees and four- wheel-drive vehicles to provide assistance.

Street condition concerns should be reported to Public Works at 502-863-9855.

If garbage service is delayed, customers affected will be picked up on their next regularly scheduled pick-up day.
