Christmas parade rolls through neighborhoods in Versailles
VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) – The City of Versailles held a Christmas parade Saturday afternoon, but not in its usual manner.
Fire trucks, ambulances, police and even a bike-riding Santa all made its way through several neighborhoods, waving at excited families.
The parade was in place of the city’s usual downtown parade, which would usually be crowded with people in the streets.
Kimberlee Tucker saw the parade go by. She says she’s glad to see holiday cheer is still being spread, even if it’s from a distance.
“It brought me a lot of joy, and to know that they care enough to get out to bring joy to everyone when you can’t get out and do like you normally do this time of year,” Tucker says.
Versailles plans to do the extended drive-by Christmas parade again next Saturday.
