Christian Appalachian Project Partners With KY National Guard
Christian Appalachian Project, or CAP, has joined forces with the Kentucky National Guard to launch their new support program "Partners in Care".
The program is open to any current National Guard Soldier or Airmen and their families in Kentucky. A few of the services offered are emergency food, clothing, and financial assistance.
In a press release, officials with CAP say they are honored to now help not only the people of Appalachia, but also Soldiers and Airmen throughout the state. CAP is described as "an interdenominational, non-profit Christian organization committed to serving people in need in Appalachia by providing physical, spiritual and emotional support through a wide variety of programs and services” in the release.
Members of the Kentucky National Guard and their families can seek assistance through their Chaplain and Family Assistance Center.
