Chenault Vineyards – Hometown Tours
Family owned and operated, Chenault Vineyards was born in 2016 Richmond where the Chenault family has created a peaceful haven that welcomes you to relax and enjoy delicious food and entertainment at the cafe, or commune with nature with a picnic and a walk through the beautiful surroundings on one of the 5 nature trails.
Open Friday through Saturday, the café offers a relaxed atmosphere. The menu includes pizza, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, salads, cheese trays, cheese cigars, and fried green tomatoes fresh from the on-site garden.
Wine is always on the menu with a selection of Chenault Vineyards house wine (white or red), Sam’s Fix-it Juice, Poosey Ridge Chardonnay, Round Hill Riesling. However, they also offer beer, bourbon, and cocktails. Weekend brunches, served 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, include a Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar where you can create your own brunch cocktail. Brunch specials are posted on Facebook each week.
On Friday and Saturday nights, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., come out to enjoy live music with dinner. House bands include the Tussey Band and Derek Isaacs, but Chenault Vineyards is always looking for good local musicians.
If you want a more intimate meal, you can opt to Create Your Own Picnic. The vineyard provides everything you need. You just select your own basket and blanket, fill your basket with items from the shelves and cooler, and pay. When you’re finished with your picnic, return the basket and blanket. For small parties of 12 or less, another option is to bring your own picnic to the Kirksville Saloon during operating hours.
Nestled among the hills and valleys of Central Kentucky, Chenault Vineyards is a perfect location for your wedding or other private or corporate events. Brides and grooms can have the ceremony The Point on a perfectly manicured lawn in front of a grand horizon of lush trees and the sunset then have a reception in one of the two reception halls. The larger reception hall, Paige Hall is a 2-story vaulted ceiling building with both indoor and outdoor waterfalls, 4 fire pits, decorative lighting and more; it seats up to 300 guests. For smaller receptions or events, Silver Creek Barn seats up to 150 guest. It boasts exposed beams, chandeliers, café lighting, 2 fire pits, and a patio for additional seating.
The vineyard hosts fun events throughout the year. Some past events have included Sip & Paint classes, the Water to Wine Vineyard Run 5K, the Holiday Barn Market, Vinyasa at the Vineyard, and Plein Air Painting Group.
As Chenault Vineyards continues to grow and expand, they want to open up the cabin on the property as a gift shop and tasting room, add lodging to overnight guests, and kayaking and canoeing in the creek that trails 17 miles through the property.
