Changing lights may cause lane closures in Fayette County

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of electrical work for conventional lighting in Fayette County.

The operations include changing halogen bulbs to efficient LED bulbs. Temporary single lane closures are necessary for the work to be completed.

Tuesday, Dec. 15 currently and until 4 p.m. Tuesday

Wednesday, Dec. 16 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. (work is tentative pending on weather conditions)

  • single lane closures will be in effect for the mainline routes and possibly intersecting routes
  • the temporary single lane closures will be approximately 10 minutes in length
  • one thru lane will remain open at all times for motorists to utilize

Fayette County

  • New Circle Road/KY 4 at Leestown Road/US 421 between milepoints 7.0 and 7.5
  • New Circle Road/KY 4 at Richmond Road/US 25 between milepoints 14.6 and 15.2
  • New Circle Road/KY 4 at Tates Creek Road/KY 1974 between milepoints 17.4 and 18.1
  • New Circle Road/KY 4 at Nicholasville Road/US 27 between milepoints 0.0 0.3 and 19 19.2
  • New Circle Road/KY 4 at Harrodsburg Road/US 68 between milepoints 2.0 and 2.5

All work, and closures are subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
