Chamber Music Festival returns for 14th year
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The 14th Chamber Music Festvial of Lexington wrapped up Sunday at the Downtown Arts Center. Organizers say they are happy to bring the Chamber back after taking a year off due to COVID, but they still aren’t back to the full capacity.
This year’s event was shortened to three days in place of 10 days in various locations like years past. While attendance was limited to keep everybody safe, organizers are glad to have live music performances back.
“We think about, we plan this for months and months, it’s over just like that but those moments are just magic because the talent that’s in this room today is really spectacular,” says Chamber Music Festival President Gregory Pettit. “A city like Lexington can attract some of the best musicians in the world.”
Organizers say hopefully next year, the Chamber Music Festival of Lexington can return to serving thousands of people with music from these talented individuals.
