Cash Express robbed, suspect easily identified
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a suspect was easy to identify because he had filled out paperwork for a loan in a Cash Express he’s accused of robbing.
Investigators say there was a disorder in the business on East New Circle Road around 5:20 p.m. Tuesday after a man was denied a loan.
Police say 53-year old Derrick Borders implied he had a weapon, demanded cash, received some and ran off.
Investigators say they obtained an arrest warrant for Borders using information from his loan paperwork.
He’s wanted for Robbery 1st Degree, according to police.
