Car, two boats, other items destroyed in barn fire

RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ) – A car, two boats and some other items are destroyed when an old barn goes up in flames Monday afternoon near downtown Richmond.

Smoke could be seen across town from the fire, which was located in an overgrown area near the intersection of Holly and Linden Streets.  It was reported at about 3:45 p.m.

Crews had a hard time pinpointing where the fire was. By the time firefighters got to the scene, the barn was already collapsed and was completely burning.

Firefighters said they weren’t sure yet who owned the barn or its contents or what might sparked the fire.

The barn did not appear to have any electricity.
