Car riddled with bullet holes after shootout in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say people in two cars were shooting at each other in broad daylight in a busy intersection Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators say it happened at Seventh Street and North Broadway.
Police say it doesn’t appear anyone was injured, but one of the car’s involved was found a few blocks away on Twelfth Street, riddled with bullet holes and a window shot out.
Investigators say one of the people in that damaged car was arrested, but not in connection to the shooting.
Police say 22-year old Marico Perkins was charged with trafficking a controlled substance-cocaine 1st degree; possession of a handgun by a convicted felon; receiving stolen property-firearm; possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence. He was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.
Police are still looking for the other people involved in the shootout.
