North Carolina man arrested in Kentucky after brief car chase

SMITHLAND, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man was arrested after leading troopers on a chase in Livingston County Tuesday, according to Kentucky State Police.

KSP say troopers tried to pull over 20-year-old Tevin M. Nicander, of North Carolina, because he was driving too fast on State Route 453.

Troopers say Nicander didn’t stop but instead, turned onto Heater Store Road, lost control of the car and ran over a road sign. They say Nicander then reversed the car and turned onto Ramage Cemetery Road, where he eventually parked and was arrested.

Nicander is charged with wanton endangerment and fleeing or evading police along with other charges.
