Calloway man charged with 12 counts related to child pornography

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested 73-year-old Gary Roger White on charges related to child sexual abuse material.

White was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering White sharing images of child sexual exploitation online, according to the KSP.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a residence in Murray, Ky., on June 23, 2021. Equipment was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination, troopers said in a statement.

The investigation is ongoing.

White is charged with 10 counts of distribution of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance and two counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance.

These charges are Class-D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison.

White was lodged in the Calloway County Detention Center and ordered held on a $20,000 cash bond.
