Two people pulled to safety from burning vehicle

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two people were rescued from a burning vehicle by good samaritans.

The Lexington Fire Department responded to a two vehicle accident on Clays Mill Road, near Cindy Blair Way Monday morning. One of the vehicles stuck a tree and caught fire.

Officials say good samaritans pulled the two victims out of the burning vehicle to safety. The fire department believes they saved their lives. Both victims were taken to UK hospital, one with life threatening injuries. No one was hurt in the other vehicle.

The Lexington reconstitution team is investigating.
