A busy week for the Lexington Police Department

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say the latest shooting happened Thursday night when a man was shot by a group of teenagers during a robbery attempt.

It’s the fifth person that has been reported to have been shot in the city just this week.

The first shooting of the week took place Monday at the intersection of Eastland Parkway and Winchester Road.

The second one took place on Eastern Avenue off 3rd street.

The third was on Rambling Creek Drive and Thursday nights shooting was at Sixth Street and Elm Tree Lane.

Police say two people were found shot Monday morning after police responded to a robbery call.

Officers say that the two were uncooperative and that their stories didn’t line up.

Tuesday, another person was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being shot. Authorities say they do not have a suspect.

Wednesday proved to be the first homicide of the year. Police say 20-year-old Gregory Miller, Junior was shot in the neck. The man accused of shooting him, 25-Year-old Jaquan St. Louis, told investigators he didn’t know the gun was loaded when he pointed it at Miller and fired.

Thursday, police say a man was sent to the hospital after being shot by a group of teenagers who demanded money. Police say the investigation is on-going.
